Before and After

Just wanted to share a few shots from the MRI scans... before and after.

In the before shot, you can see the "white" mass above the eye. That is the tumor. You can tell how very big it is in comparison to the entire brain. It still astounds me that it has been there his entire life and it took nine years to discover it. (disclaimer: if this is a DNET tumor as the doctor suspects.)

In the after picture, you can see the hole left after the tumor was removed. That area will always be there but it will fill with fluid and shouldn't be any cause for concern.

Jacob is feeling good. As a matter of fact, we went to see Kung Fu Panda last evening and he laughed the whole time. It tugged at my heartstings to hear him have a good time. He was just so cute in his button down shirt (so he didn't have to pull a shirt over the incision) and an FBI hat. I can't believe I didn't take a picture!

I happened to check your blog the other day and was shocked by your news! Im so sorry you are all having to go through this and I will be praying so very hard that the drs did their job perfectly and that they are RIGHT about it being benign!! Hugs to you my friend!! - Gretchen Taylor

WOW! I can't believe it's never given him a problem before. So glad that he's enjoying himself. I want to see that movie. :(
