My Cat Cocoa

Did you ever have a pet that was so much a part of your life, that you feel lost without it? That is how I am feeling right now.

Sometime and somehow yesterday, Cocoa got outside and he has not come back yet. Because he is an indoor cat ONLY, I am very worried about him. We have called the shelter, put up signs, and driven the neighborhood. Nothing so far, although I am still hopeful he will find his way home. He is twelve years old and very healthy, but he is declawed and inexperienced in the outdoors.

If you have a prayer to spare, please say one for my baby cat.

My heart goes out to you. I've been there and it's the worst feeling. I can give you some pointers on what to do and where to go and such if you want. Just send me an email. I don't want to intrude. I used to do some minor cat rescue work and might have some ideas you haven't thought of yet. Prayers being said for you and Cocoa. He's a beautiful cat.

Oh, Jen. I'm sorry to hear about Cocoa. I have been there. It's an aweful feeling. But it is early. I will definitely pray that he makes it home safely.

Has Cocoa made it home yet??? I hope so! My cats are my babies, I'd be very lost without them. One of the stinkers got out a few years ago and I combed the neighborhood for 7 hours. Then about 10:30 pm, a neighbor called...their dog was barkign at something...turned out to be my kitty! He ran into a garage and we were able to catch him...he was scraed out of his mind!

Jen, I've been thinking about you & Cocoa and was hoping to come to your blog to find a happy update. :( I'm so sad for you. I do hope he comes home safely! As a cat person myself, I *completely* understand how heartbroken you must be.
