Goodbye Pluto, Hello Mars

"Leading astronomers declared Thursday that Pluto is no longer a planet under historic new guidelines that downsize the solar system from nine planets to eight." Do you know what that means? Students now only have to memorize eight names, while I had to memorize nine. Life is so unfair.

My Very Excited Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas is history. Now I have to come up with a new one, or remember to drop the pizzas. Here is what I have so far:

Many Voluptuous Eager Mothers Just Sat Under Nets.
Mike Very Easily Manages Just Seven Uppers Now.

What do you think? Maybe not what teachers will want to use in a classroom.

And in other astronomical news, August 27 is the day that Mars will appear as big as the moon to the human eye. Do you believe that? If so, you may want to read this: Mars Hoax.

I don't understand how they can change this after so long but I guess I am not an astronomer, am I? How about:

LOL about Jennifer's comment. I hear you on the Pluto thing - it was my favorite planet too! The easiest one really to remember - well Uranus too - haha. Glad you told me about the hoax. I was wondering about that! I got that in my email box!

Oops, my comment got lost somewhere.

Anyway, I was trying to come up with some uberclever (preferably with the word "nuts" in the "n" spot) but my brain is not clever tonight :)
