Before and After

So much in life changes when one becomes a parent. So much that sometimes it is hard to remember the old lifestyle. There are a some things I dearly miss, like the flexibility to change plans at the drop of a hat. And I can't remember the last time I saw an R rated movie! I did this quick page as a reminder of how much our lives have changed from the days I like to call "Before Jacob." I don't know if you can read the journaling on this (it is easier to read in real life) so here it is:

Before:
I stayed late a lot at work.
A date meant dinner and a romantic comedy.
House clutter was bills, newspapers and shoes.
Vacation could be anytime of year.
I shopped for clothes and shoes.
Dave was my one and only love.

After:
I have so much to do at home that I leave work as soon as I can.
A night out now means fast food and a PG movie.
House clutter is toys, bills, shoes, boy underwear, school papers and more toys.
Vacation has to happen on school breaks.
I shop for toys and stuff to store toys.
I have both Dave and Jacob to love.

And speaking of love, check out this super cute stamp set from Stampin' Up! For every stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to the American Heart Association. So, your purchase is also going to a wonderful cause! It is only available for a few more days, so call your demonstrator soon! You can find a demonstrator through their website if you don't already have someone. Stampin' Up!

What a fab idea for a layout - my mind is already ticking over with "before" and "after" bits and pieces. Thanks for the inspiration Jen :)

That is a great layout, Jennifer. I like the before and after concept.

And I saw the SU stamp set. It is adorable.

That is one of my all time favourite layouts of yours (which is saying something!)

And little ol' non-stamping me just got those stamps! Maybe you should come over and teach me how to use them!
