Scrap for a Cause

Did you know that Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in US women? Those are scary statistics to any woman. But with the help of people like my friend Jennie and her friend Christine, money is being raised to help fund medical research for a cure. They are both participating in Avon's Walk for Breast Cancer in May 2007. As participants, they must each raise $1800 and one of their fundraisers will be a crop in Manassas, VA on January 20th.

Check out their website at Scrap for a Cause and sign up to attend this philanthropic event. I'll be there as an attendees, and I'll be doing a make and take project for Fiber Scraps. Here is a little teaser of what we will be making.

If you live in the area, or even if you don't, I hope to see you there!
