Vacation Update

Who would have thought that staying home for a vacation would actually cost MORE than going somewhere? It is true in my case. I have been working on finishing my craft room, so shopping has been a big part of my daily routine. I am not going to count the newdesk, because it was actually ordered before vacation. Here is the synopsis.

My first purchase was the bracelet I posted about (ok, so it doesn't have anything to do with my room, but I had to go near that mall to get this chair, so I stopped in Brighton to have an earring fixed. You get the thought pattern, right?) While I was at World Market, I also found a few cute toss pillows. Since it was next to a lamp store, I got some harps for new lamp shades. That store was connected to Hallmark, so Jacob bought a new Webkins (a beagle.) And then we had to go up the plaza to Toys R Us for a Heroscape flag bearer.

Next we headed to Pottery Barn, where I picked up this, this, this and filler for the vase. Since I had a pretty new chair, I needed a comfy cushion. While there, I also picked up some artwork for the walls. A trip next door to Michaels produced some fun baskets and pots. After my desk was delivered, I could finally get a visual for space in the room, so I ordered a bookcase and a cabinet. And because it was so darn hot this week, I got a little fan for my room, which you can see in the picture of the artwork.

Then yesterday, on my way to a fabulous crop with Jennie, I stopped at Rubber Chicken for some stamps. Because they didn't have many A Muse stamps, I went to Angela's Happy Stamper today. Check out my cute stamp purchases!

All in all - a very productive week of shopping, wouldn't you say? Tomorrow, Dave and I are headed to Lowes for some wood and sand - we are finally going to finish the horseshoe pits!
