Summer Lovin' with Grease

I will never forget the summer that was Grease. I was nine, going on ten, and living in Houston. All the kids in my neighborhood would get together to play, and so many times we sang the Grease songs at the top of our lungs. It was also the summer of my first real kiss. His name was Freddie, my neighbor's cute cousin from Nicaragua. I can't even remember his last name, but I know his family has sent him to Texas to flee the civil unrest in their country. Anyway, back to the kiss. We were swimming in our pool and he kissed me underwater. We came up to the surface and I slugged him in the mouth. We were boyfriend and girlfriend the rest of the summer.

Let's take a poll. What was your favorite scene or song from the movie? For me, it has to be Summer Lovin' and the guys dancing on the bleachers.

I thought this was a cool modern take on the Sandra Dee pajama party scene.

For some strange reason I always enjoyed the scene near the end when Sandy is sitting on that hill watching the race & she ties her shoes before going down with Frenchie. Wierd, I know. I think my favorite song is the "Whomp Bomb a loo bop" song. Do you like Grease 2 also?

I haven't seen that video. That was cool! And my favorite song was Tell Me More. Loved that scene!!! You're the One That I Love is a close second, though.

Ok so I love Grease cause John Travolta makes me weak in the knees. My fave scene is the same as your's but my second fave is Greased Lightening. Man now I'm gonna have to pull that out and watch it this week while I'm packing!

My fave? When Sandy comes out in her hot black leather pants. I was so upset that my mom wouldn't let me dress like "hot" Sandy. Apparently she thought it was inappropriate for an 8 year old to wear red high heels and a black tube top....

I'm with you Leslie - John Travolta still makes me weak at the knees (even in Hairspray and he plays a woman ROFL). I've gotta say "Summer Lovin'" closely followed by Grease Lightning. Would you believe I have never watched Grease2 - just can't bring myself to watch it because you just can't improve on the original and it wasn't the same actors!!
