Tis the season.

Jacob and I went out this afternoon to see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (cute movie) and by the time we headed home, it was dark outside. I haven't been thinking much of the Christmas season yet, so it almost surprised me to see Christmas lights.

There is nothing that makes me feel more like a kid than Christmas lights - white, colored, on homes, in trees, in windows. It doesn't matter what they are - I stare in wonder and get all happy inside. And now that I am officially embracing the season, I did a little holiday make-over here, with a new banner, new music and some festive colors. Not only that, but I created a Christmas playlist on my iPod and started my Christmas cards.

Stamps used on these include Impression Obsession, PSX, A Muse, Stampin' Up!, and Stampers Anonymous. Patterned paper is all Basic Grey (the grid pattern sheet scanned more yellow than it is IRL)

Tomorrow's itinerary includes a trip in to D.C. to the National Zoo, where Jacob hopes to see Spider Monkeys for his school report and I hope to linger long enough that we drive out of D.C. in the dark. The lights will be beautiful.
