Office Space

This is my office space - isn't is roomy? I like it - but it seems so empty to me, especially when I keep it clean.

I spend so much time in here, I would like to make it seem more like a home office. Any suggestions?

How about using one of the walls as a gallery wall with LOTS of photos. Maybe all black frames in different sizes. Instead of family pictures you could keep it a bit more "professional" and find some cool landscape shots.

I'm totally useless when it comes to interior design, but man you have a great office!!! I've never had an office filled with "nice" furniture like this.

When I think of homey I see big overstuffed chairs or a soft couch with pillows, pictures on the wall and a basket of blankets or magazines. I also like soft music playing in the background. You have great natural light from the windows so why turn on the office lights? Add some lamps instead especially one on your desk for that added light you need to work. I don't know how many clients you have in your office so I don't really know if all or any of that would be feesible but that's how I would see it being "homey".

Love your office, maybe some pictures and larger plants? How's Jacob doing? Might be coming this weekend, will call you.

oh how i love those red chairs and the rolls! Have you ever tried angling the chairs and rug? I did that in my gameroom b/c the room was so rectangular which made it seem more formal. I can't see the whole room but looking at the wall with the windows- I would get the 2 red chairs and off center them to the left of the window wall and then turn the rug in the same angle (does this make sense?) Do you have any extra material you could swag in the middle of the 2 windows to drape over to the sides of each window? That would be a great filler too. Sorry to be so forthcoming- i just love to walk in a room and rearrange it (it's practically an illness). either way- it's a very nice room and i love how clean it is! btw- thanks for stopping by this morning!

I think more pictures on the wall, including some large scale ones. I like the idea of large groups of small, personal photos, too. Your office is really beautiful, though!
