Heroes

"Some say a hero is born to be brave, but I'm here to tell you the hero is a scared man that don't walk away."

There are all kinds of heroes - the kind that make a difference in a single person's life to the kind that impact thousands of people. The one thing they all have in common is that they don't do what they do to be heroes, to be glorified. They do what they do to make a difference, to help others, and in many cases, to save lives.
Let me tell you about Keni Thomas, a true hero. He is a former Army Ranger, a singer and speaker; one that serves God and our Country everyday with his inspirational message of service and leadership. Tonight, Keni and his band Cornbread entertained at The Vietnam Wall as part of the 25th anniversary ceremonies. After finally seeing him perform live, I am even more excited to get my hands on his new CD (due out before Christmas.)

If you want to listen to him, check out his MySpace. I found this gem on You Tube, a little raw - but still good. This song is one he wrote about a friend lost in Somalia, and is on his CD, Flags of our Fathers.
