April Fool for Hockey

Happy April ( a few days late!)

For the first time in years, I got tricked for April Fool's Day. By a stranger.

First, I left my cell phone at iHop (spinach omelette and pancakes...mmmm). When I realized it, I used Dave's phone to call it. The gentleman that answered it confirmed it was at iHop. The one in Leesburg. 30 miles away from where I had eaten. He got me. Simple and effective at making me an April Fool.

Dave and I spent April Fool's Day at the Capitals Vs. Hurricanes game. I am a Capitals fan. He is a Hurricanes fan. See where this is going? If you don't follow hockey - let me tell you that this game was very important to both teams for the playoffs. We made a little wager.

I expect to get my new Capitals jersey any day now.

Both teams still have a shot at the playoffs, but more than likely it will have to be one or the other. I am starting to understand the standings and what they mean, but I am trusting Dave on this one.

So, Go CAPS.
