An update

My baby has a brain tumor.
Hard to say it but there it is. The last few days have been really rough, and the next few days will be, too. The doctors are pretty confident that it is benign, so we have that to hang on to and give us some peace. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

If you want to send him a card, he is at Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC. He is bored and frustrated, so cards would cheer him up some. He'll be there at least through next Friday.

Again, your prayers are wonderful. Keep them coming please.

Big hugs to you guys from across the oceans - I'm thinking of you all. Give Jacob a nice big hug and let him know everyone is thinking of him.

We're about to head off on holidays for a month, but I'll try to check in when I can find some outback little town that has internet :-P

Hi Jennifer-
I will have my kids pray too. Scary stuff for sure. Thank God he is being watched medically and is in great hands. I will be checking your blog for updates. I'll look up the address for the medical center and my kids will be happy to send him some cards and good thoughts.

Hugs, Carrie (Korie's friend from CA)

Diagnosis like these are life altering and while our kids will grow up and remember relatively little of it... its the mother's heart that never heals. From one mother to another I know that watching your baby go back to the OR is the WORST feeling in the world... Wishing all the best for Jacob and praying for everyone for a positive outcome and easy surgery / recovery.

Hugs,
Amber Schmidt (Kyleigh's mom)
