"I have found...

... that if you love life, it will love you right back."

That is what my new quote on the family room wall says. I ordered the saying for Uppercase Living in October and was planning to put it up over the holidays. I (with alot of Dave's help) finally put it up last weekend because I needed to look at it everyday.

It has been a little hard for me to get behind that philosophy the last few weeks. My faith in it has been a little shattered. What good is loving life if it can hurt so badly no matter what your outlook? Loving life doesn't put a bubble up around your heart, does it? But I guess it takes a little pain to really appreciate all the beautiful things in my life. I really do thank God for all of my blessings. My family, of course, and all of the wonderful friends that have given me their support.

I will take the bad with the good, and keep reminding myself that life is about what we have, not what we don't have. And eventually, love life fully again.

Beautifully written, Jen. I'm hugging you all the way from California.
And that looks AMAZING!

I love it. When I went through a similar heartache a few years back, I hung an enormous copy of the "Desiderata" in my bedroom to remind me that life is beautiful and everything is unfolding as it should.

It's still there... and it still makes me feel good to look at it.

See you in a couple of weeks!!
